19/7 forth day of the summer course and film show

This morning we visited the Senate. Our gathering time was 8:30 a.m., but I was late. I woke up at about 6:30p.m. And then I washed my clothes. After washing the clothes, I went back to my room to change clothes, I looked at the clock, it was 8:30p.m., then I went out. At the stair, I saw Jo Jo and she told me I have late, then I remember that my clock was 10 minutes slower than natural. Fortunately, we could arrive the Senate on time. First, we were brought to a meeting room, and then a representative of the Senate gave us a talk about the operation and the background information. Then there was a guided tour to walk around the Senate. Actually, the Senate originally was a Palace of the King. It was not as beautiful as the palace I had seen before. After visiting the rooms of the palace. We were very lucky that we could have a chance to see the diary operation of the Senate, how they discuss issues and how they vote. It was a very valuable experience to see the decision making process in other countries. The place for the Senate to hold their meeting was originally the stable of the palace. A palace in the past was the place creating new policy, and it became the Senate of the city, the policy making function of this place was remained, though the ruling system was changed from autocratic into more democratic. Then, we went to the garden and took photos. The garden was relatively small when comparing to other palace. There is a pool, which is quite beautiful. Then, we went back to the old town to have lunch. After lunch, we had a lesson about Central European economies heading towards Eurozone’. At night, there was a film show, but I think the film was quite boring.
