14/7 first day in Prague, BBQ party at night

Old town square

Today is the first day we stayed in Prague. In the morning, we go to the city center to change money. The exchange rate is acceptable. Then, we go to the Old Town Square and saw the bell town. The Square is full of people, but many of us have a question: “Is here the Prague Square?” No one among us can answer this question. Then, we went to the Charles Bridge, this is the famous scenic spot in Prague. On the way, we can see can see many shops selling crystals, Russian toys and clocks. A question came through my mind, why there are so many Russian toys here. Finally, I remember that Czech Republic was a satellite of Soviet Russia, so I think the Russian toys should be also brought to here. The Charles Bridge is full of people. On each side of the bridge stand many statuary, most of these statuaries are about Christianity. On the bridge, there were many people selling things, painting and performing music. But we just walked half of the bridge and without going to the place opposite the bridge, then we go to have lunch, because there is too hot. After the lunch, we went back to the dorm. When I went back to my room, I met my roommate. He came from Serbia, but he studied his university in Germany. His profession is a lawyer. I talked with for a while and then we went to do the registration. After that, I stayed in my room and read the notes. At night, we go out with the course participants to have a barbecue. The barbecue in Europe is different from Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, we cook the food by ourselves but there is a cook to help us prepare the food in Europe. During the barbecue, get to know more people. I am shocked that most of them had finished master degree and already working in the society. This evening is full of fun. When we went back to dorm, there were many flies around us on our way that is quite terrible. Tonight we got a bad news, the dorm cannot supply hot water, and so we need to use the very cold water to bath. It is a very special experience.
